Geelong Scarf Festival 2009

A visual and tactile art-based installation of hand-crafted scarves that embody The Scarf Festival’s theme of “Transformation”. Complemented by works from local and national textile artists who represent the best in contemporary art, craft and design, Transformation offers a visual celebration of the diverse textures and techniques employed to create that must-have winter accessory – the scarf.

The Scarf Festival will have two central components: The Transformation Showcase, exhibiting an array of beautiful, unique hand-made scarves. The other component of the festival will be the workshops and events. Most of the scarves will be available for purchase from the Museum Shop.
